"High End" Flashlights

i have a the olight maverick 15 for EDC. an 18 mounted to my rifle...

foursevens all interchange with each other (think legos). they are also local! so bonus buying power there. they are on my next to buy list.

how many lumens (bright) do you want it? are you looking for waterproofness (ipx-8 testing)? is this just going to be a high end flashlight for no other reason than you can have them? or like serious first start to collecting and using really really ridiculously good torches?

i can recommend surefires (american made lights, but not as bright as they should be). Olights are good for the price, same with Fenix. cant speak of anything else...

but you made a good point to talk to marshall at Going Gear. he can steer you in the right direction

My SureFire failed after 10 seconds when I needed it most.

It had only been used for a few seconds before that when the bulb blew and there is no warranty on the bulb.

They "offered" to sell me a new bulb which cost as much as the flashlight or offered for me to buy a new LED flashlight at FULL retail.

DO NOT ever trust a SureFail. EFF them.

I bought a JetBeam from GoingGear and am beyond thrilled with it.

i keep a surefire on my belt at work and a surefire on my nightstand. I love them both but still use maglites for everyday tasks since they use cheaper batteries.
