Yes, it is a conversion. HDPS provided the Mill work and parts. It definitely wasn't a cheap project.

Since I bumped the thread I'll add another. Regretfully, I sold this one a few months ago to fund NFA purchases before 41F.

I had a USP40C quite a few years ago. I shot it extremely well with little effort on my end. About 12 years went by and I got an itch for a VP9. I bought the VP9 last year and I realy like it but it isn't on the same level as the USP.

I switched strictly to striker fired guns or I would own a HK45 and 45C.

Yeah the USP Compact beats the hell out of a G19. Winter carry a VP9, owned just about every pistol they've ever made except a 23.
