Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. The Soviets liberated Auschwitz January 27, 1945.

I like what Gen. Eisenhour did. Made all the local Germans tour the camps liberated by Americans, walk among the rotting bodies. Ike said he ordered this so that " some day, some SOB will say this didn`t happen". He was right. It`s been said. Good thing there are pictures of the crimes and people still living that were witnesses.
but the PTB still tell us "work makes us free".
I well remember the movie newsreels of the camps -- no tv then --

The Holocaust museum at the Smithsonian is very moving.
Not to take anything away from the european holocaust but the millions slaughtered by the japanese seems to have been forgotten --
