Has there ever been or will there ever be a 4 wheeler that will compare to the Honda 300 ?

I used to work at a Honda shop and I thought that there would never be anything that would compare to the Honda 300, but the first generation Ranchers were just as reliable in my opinion. Now since then I think they have added to many "bells and whistles".
