More than 100 workers, I gather, died building that dam.

If you do go, take the tour where you go down to where the generators are. You can stand on the pipes which have nearly 30,000 gallons of water/second running through them. Pretty amazing!
I drove my 1996 Dodge 3500 down to the damn pulling a 24 foot goose neck horse trailer FULL of Hay and a coke machine. Top speed going back up was less than 25 MPH. Rollin coal all the way.
