I liked yours because they were dry rubbed and smoked...but then thought to myself, "I still wouldn't want to eat them."I’m a bit confused. You like my chicken wings post, then minutes later posted this. Do you like wings or not?

But if you cook chicken correctly, the flavor is in the meat. If the flavor's only in the skin then I would argue that they haven't been cooked properly.Flavor!! And my wife wants me to pull the skin off, what is wrong with that woman??!! I'm not the biggest wing fan, but I'll eat them along with another piece.
See...the sauce, for me, is the big turn off. One of the (many) reasons that I don't like ribs. Sauce all over the place, can't pick up your drink without wiping your hands, gets all in the beard. I feel like an overweight toddler in need of a bath after I eat them. It's all about the sauce, and they "used" to be cheap food. If the sauce is just hot to be hot, and hot's not your thing you won't like them. I prefer flavor over just being hot. "Hot" where you can still taste the other flavors makes for excellent wings.
Ahhh....see? I was going to like this post, then you edited it to add "make them messy" at the end.I smoke 'em first then finish in the Air fryer
Toss them in Frank's and a little melted butter

Sometimes food is messy, that's half the fun.
