Houses with pools.

The bottom line is........are you going to USE it on a regular basis. Do you have children who will use it??.....I can tell you from experience that you will develop neighbors who will want to use it......Unless you really enjoy the USE of a pool, have children who will enjoy the use of a pool.....you might as well drain it, and back fill it with dirt for a garden if you purchase that house.

We have a pool, 2 kids and 2 dogs that bark at the neighbors so they stay away. We love it, I love it !! Nothing like out working on the yard and going for a swim afterwards !!! We love having a pool. I grew up with one and love being in the water, with the kids it just makes it that much more fun, we have the hot tub attached to the pool so that is great to. Its not bad to maintain if you keep on top of it, cost me around 300 a year. I am not a fan of the vinyl pools you have to be careful with them, gunite pools are the way to go IMO. As far as the INS company goes, they did ask me to put up "no trespassing" signs on the fence this year. I also carry a HUGE umbrella policy on the house that cost me $11 bucks a month, just for my protection ! Other than that my homeowners didn't not go up but a couple dollars I think.

Yes sir we carry a policy that covers anything that goes over our normal INS limits. Another words, you come over and slip and fall, sue me for more than the limits on my normal homeowners this umbrella policy kicks in and covers me.

On a well kept Vinyl lined pool using chlorine you might expect 200 to 400 a YEAR in chemicals. On a bad year, you might expect 400 on repairs. If you convert it to Salt water, after the initial conversion cost, you might expect 100 to 200 a YEAR in chemicals and about the same on maintenance. Some years your pool will clean right up, others you will rack your brain(and wallet) trying to figure out why it won't. If you have kids of the swimming age, it's worth every penny. But if you spend all your money keeping it spotless for the neighbors, Well, that's your call.

If you get it, spend the extra and go salt. Less headache and cost. I had an above ground that was salt and hsve three relatives with salt pools. Also easier on your body, eyes, and hair.

Does the house have a shooting range, too?;)
