How do I get a persons name off my trust?

Wife and are are divorcing she is listed a beneficiary on the trust and I want her off it.

Sorry to hear man, but easiest thing is just take her name of it anywhere it is, and add a new beneficiary, you have to have one on there. Mine is my best friend.

Depends on what your trust says on how to do it. It most cases it should say that you as the Grantor have the right to make amendments, revoke, etc. Some might require a complete restatement of trust, but in most cases for a benficiary, it should just be an amendment. In that case you just draw up an amendment, get it notarized, and attach it to the existing trust. I recently changed a Trustee and Beneficiary, and I had a lawyer draw me up an amendment.

Well nevermind. I dont go the trust rout, so Im pretty ignorant in that regard.

You're most likely going to be talking to a lawyer anyways. Have them draw you up an amendment. What's another 20 minutes for a $400/hr lawyer.
