Price gouging refers to when retailers and others take advantage of spikes in demand by charging exorbitant prices for necessities, or essential items, often after a natural disaster or other state of emergency. ... In most states, price gouging is set as a violation of unfair or deceptive trade practices law

Guns and ammo have never been considered necessities or essential items. Thus the term "gouging" does not apply to guns and ammo. Some examples of gouging is $20 for a gallon of milk, $12 for a loaf of bread, $9 for a bottle of water. Normally, this happens right after a natural disaster or an emergency situation.

If you want to use the term "gouging" when referring to guns and ammo, OK. Just know, the term is incorrect for guns and ammo according to the definition of "gouging" in this and most other states.

I’m not selling any yet...

Yet.

Figure another 6 months and either it comes back down or keeps getting higher.
If it gets higher I will sell it as high as I possibly can. Why?
Because I can. Because I bought it cheap and stacked it deep just like everyone was told to do.
Those that didn’t listen will pay the “late fee” of higher cost and I will sleep like a little baby without a worry in the world. Lol...

The key:

"Because I bought it cheap and stacked it deep just like everyone was told to do."
