That is our legal system at work! There was a similar situation here a few weeks ago. Wasn't much on the news because he was a middle age white guy. What a world we live in!
I know a guy in Houston Co with an auto salvage yard. He got popped in possession of literally a dozen stolen cars all from Henry and Clayton Co. He made bind and the case dragged on for three years. And when it was all done he walked away with 12 counts of " Misdemeanor Criminal Activity " and 12 months of probation.
So the moral of the story is that in Houston Co you can run a chop shop or any other scam you want to as long as you pay your friends or marry the right person.
