I was interested at a younger age, but my folks didn't like the idea, and now I just don't have much interest in it.

My answer would be: I have in the past, but I'm no longer interested in it.

I hunted for a few days every year for 40 years and there used to be some mighty lean years when I never even got a shot all season. Now I get all the meat I want from my friends & family who still hunt.
