Try to hunt as much as i can, but havent been able the last few years :( we always filled up our deep freezer (with small does preferably, taste the best!), and if we took anything else we donated the deer to hunters for homeless (hunted mainly private land with overpopulated deer) or if a friend wanted the meat just have them pick it up at the processor. yes, i go to a processor, i have never had anyone show me the correct way to butcher a deer (i know the basics in case of zombies) and im not a fan of wasted meat.

how can you tell whos a vegan/vegatarian? dont worry, they will tell you.

You would be amazed at the how to videos you can learn things from on youtube....yes you have to sift through a few of the stupid ones but compiled all together you will come to your own conclusion what to do.

The key to a good field dressing and an easy butchering is a sharp knife.....it makes all the difference in the world.

If someone pays someone to kill somebody, is the person who did the hiring also guilty of 'murder'? You don't say? Well, which one is more heinous? :)
Always interesting which way a thread goes I guess. As someone said earlier in the thread I do a lot more hunting than shooting and a lot more fishing than catching, but to those that haven't hunted (or haven't in way too many years) but would like to, ping me early this fall. We'll go chase whatever critter you'd like. And oh yeah, for those that let the filed dressing bother them..., at least for deer.... deer gets shot, deer gets loaded in truck (whole), deer gets dropped off at processors all within minutes. A few weeks later packaged hormone free, antibiotic free, generally chemical free, package frozen venison is picked up and the lip smacking begins.
