How many of you...?

Of the 3,261 active members here at ODT, how many of you spend time with your weapon either actively at the range or doing any form of practice drills (tactic) versus just trading and talking about scenarios, what if's and discussing firearms in general? I know this question may seem facetious, but I am simply curious and have no ill intent whatsoever. I do realize that alot of folks simply love collecting, owning and/or discussing. Just curious how many actual shooters we have here. Let's keep this positive and steer away from derogatory remarks.

I have my own property and will shoot a couple mags now and then to keep familiar. I usually carry, so I will practice drawing from concealment around the house in the proper way, unloaded weapon, to try to maintain some decent level of preparedness. I am by no means an expert, but try to be able to act accordingly if the time ever arises for such action.

Shooter. I like to use golf balls to hone a gun in and determine my personal effective distance with a specific weapon.

Very good point you make. I saw a news report about a convenience store clerk that emptied his mag towards a BG that was trying to rob the store, only to find that he did not land one single shot into his target. I guess you can call it divine intervention, or lack of practice.

I know several of you remember the story about Wyatt Earp shooting his pistols empty each morning... I always liked that story... probably helped that he was a reloader.

Not sure my neighbors would but too enthusiastic if I did that...
