I roll to a training event once every 2-3 months. I usually do 100-250 rds depending on what we’re doing.

As long as you're happier living where you are now, doesn't matterIt's crazy, when I used to have to drive to shoot and someone else's property I would shoot at least once a month or more. 150-200 rounds each time. Now I've moved on property where I can shoot in the back yard and I barely shoot anymore. Now it's once every 2-3 months. It doesn't make sense but the desire to shoot as often left once I could step out back and burn as much as I wanted whenever.

You were legal??.........🤣Yeah, I did all my serious drinking before I turned 21.
After that it just wasn't fun anymore.
I spend more time in the garden nowadays. Every afternoon I'm out there focusing on the chickens and growing food.As long as you're happier living where you are now, doesn't matter
Need to add a zero on the end of those numbers.A few hundred rimfire per year for plinking.
A box or two of rifle cartridges per year for practice and hunting.
A few hundred handgun cartridges per year for practice.
Several hundred shotshells per year for clays and hunting.
10 years ago, your numbers would have been more accurate for me; however, the amount I shoot overall has declined over the years. The reason is partially because of cost, but at this point, I just want to be competent when hunting and have a respectable score at the occasional charity clay target event.Need to add a zero on the end of those numbers.
In other words,
I would say shoot a few thousand rimfire for plinking (I shoot maybe 100-200 per session) ,
A box or two per session of rifle cartridges for practice….
A couple hundred handgun rounds per session for practice….
Etc., etc…..
Those numbers you put up aren’t going to keep me or my guys satisfied on shooting at all.
That is why we reload as much as we can as far as handgun rounds….it is for cost and also hobby . But mostly cost. I cast as much as I can for handgun cartridges…. like .44mag and special, .45long Colt and ACP, .38 & .357 , .41mag , etc and so forth. It is just too dang expensive otherwise ! Heck, the components have gotten expensive as hell too !! Powder and primers are out of sight. The projectiles I can’t cast that I have to buy are expensive. .22LR and shotshells have gotten expensive too !
It is darned sure not a cheap hobby !! Not anywhere like it used to be , cost wise !!

Yeah, I can understand that. But I shoot because I enjoy it and have a collection of quite a few firearms my father left me. As well as a large amount of reloading materials because we used to sit and reload and talk a lot then we would go shoot and enjoy the fruits of our labor . lol.10 years ago, your numbers would have been more accurate for me; however, the amount I shoot overall has declined over the years.
