How to build newest lower.

I was gonna say the 6.8 is a fight stopper but Recon29 broke out the bad boy. LOL No doubt it is a thumper but to expensive and just really not a good round to go out to the range and enjoy shooting for the day. The 6.8 isn't as cheap as the 5.56 but you can get it for around 14-16 per box and if you reload it's almost as cheap as the 5.56 using good name brand projectiles. If you have a 5.56 then shoot the hell out of that and then get a little 6.8 time in. I have a billet 18 inch with a Wilson Combat barrel, very impressed that barrel with hand loads. I have a 16 inch with a ARP barrel, that one has a Spikes Jack lower ( the skull lower ) and it shoots real nice. It sports a Sight Mark holo sight on it and it will group good and tight at 50. The red dot is not a long range precision tool. It's been on that upper for three years and I haven't ha to touch it. I strongly suggest a good barreled 16 inch or 14.5 inch. It keeps them light and you still obtain some ballistics down range. If you want to stretch it out then the 18 is perfect. Here is a target that was shot off a led sled at 100 yards. The middle bullseye is shelf Hornady Match ammo. The four corners are the hand loads I worked up using the same projectiles that the Hornady had. I used the led sled so there would be no variables in shot placement. Each shot was taken with the utmost in care. I threw in a pic of the rifle I built. It's the 18 inch with Wilson Cobat barrel.
