How to keep a safe dry?

TheSafeGuy TheSafeGuy @ruger762 and @Blaze correct me if I'm wrong...

The only composite (poured wet insulation) gun safes are still the Amsec BF's?

99% of gun safes on the market use a sheet rock like material which is extremely dry.
Mass produced you are correct. there is a company out of South Carolina that has his "own" brand of safes which has the DryLight type material inside walls. (supposedly).. made overseas

D-Rods work fine. I have found that PEET DYERS work best. They look like a mini boot dryer. Damp rid works well but be careful that stuff is caustic if it ever spilled... ewwww lorrrdy bluing is done! I personally don't like EvaDry but in some cases it works... (mainly inside of a home not in Garage or Basement setting)

I use a cordless dehumidifier and the bags. I also use the crystal moister absorbent. It comes in bags. Put some of that in a container somewhere where it won't spill over. Go back in a month or so and it will be completely water. Dump it out and refill the container with the crystal mix. I am just afraid of the electric ones because of fire hazard. It may be just me but with my luck the damn thing would catch fire and burn up all my babies. Beware and don't fill all the way to the top. I did the first time and when I grabbed it water spilled out and got on a couple of AR's. It didn't hurt the finish but my heart skipped a beat when I saw the water spill out on them. The cordless dehumidifier is questionable probably doesn't do much but the crystal will actually suck all the moister out of the air and there are no wires to worry about.
