The second part in a series of knots in which my buddy Survivor Johnny shows how to make a figure eight knot. This is a pretty cool knot and he shows how to use it for a block and tackle. Watch, enjoy, and please subscribe!

I've used that second knot to firmly tie down furniture, mattresses and what-not in my truck when moving. Pulling the line back thru the loop allows you to really cinch down tight on something. Never used it to hoist though...Cool info...

While that is not what I call a figure eight knot it is very useful.
