How to make cordage from an empty 2 liter bottle

Bwahahaha, you guys crack me up

Someone try it in real life and see if it works.

This has been posted for a couple hours already. By now there is a good chance Survivor Johnny Survivor Johnny has knitted a sweater out of this stuff.

I might make a video of trying out this week if I get time. It seems to me that the hieght of the knife jig is key to how thick you make the string and for some reason I can't stop thinking about trying to catch a fish with it

I'd have to agree. The height of the knife above the depth of the saw cut....

And keeping a slightly downward angle to the knife so that the bottle is being pulled down... or more simply, just cut deep enough to pull the line downward with respect to the bottle.

And he had one of the good straight sided 2 liter bottles... most of the ones I have are more tapered/coke bottle shaped now days.

That's pretty cool way to get cordage from trash. I agree with the comments about how he makes it look far easier than it is. Looks like another challenge in the making
