Went to local Home Depot today and all I can find was yellow gloss paint. Couldn't find any flat. Where do you find it? and how do you guys spray paint banana on AK mags? I want my end goal to look like the bottom image. Any advice is appreciated (I don't care about the paint not lasting, its AK).

Haven't done that before, but I'd start with a primer for metal and then two coats of flat yellow.

Next spray splatter a little flat black to give it some spots. Guess you could also use a small brush to add some further brown/black streak detail and blend it together. Practice on cardboard first. :noidea:

Maybe fast306stang fast306stang can give more details if he has done something similar.

I haven't done any myself. I have sent some off to be cut and painted tho, to a guy whose skill set is better than mine lol.

It's possible Michael's or Hobby Lobby may have what the OP needs...

Clean with a light wipe of acetone on a rag to be sure you have removed all oils on the surface. For dark colored items I usually buy a flat white primer (quality) and allow that to set and cure, then paint the item(s). Less coats of the final color are required to acheive a deep, rich coat.
