agreed with Doug power to wheels on ice means nothing. Keyword is traction. I've been sitting still on an interstate with 4x4 and slide off to the berm . Actually that would have been better if snow was on a berm to navigate on snow rather then ice. Studded tires or chains help but I haven't seen studded tires in years.My opinion: it doesn't matter what it is or how many wheels, etc. 4x4, 6x6, 8x8, etc. Rubber spinning on ice can slide and lose traction. It's more about how you drive than anything else. I've spun out my Jeep YJ and TJ on ice.
