Hypocritical otter question

I've read the word "Hypothetically" so much in the past two pages I'm about to have a seizure and then maybe, go buy a pet otter....

Trapping season is open until tomorrow. I suspect you could have found one that would have appreciated the chance at the pelt. We have then in our backyard beaver pond and I really get a kick out of watching them fish. Here's the Georgia code on the matter. If it's your pond and he's eating the fish in your pond, I don't know, 'maybe' you're covered. I'd rather not have to try and argue my case in court though.

27-3-64. Killing or injuring mink or otter with firearm; possession or sale of mink or otter, or pelt thereof, killed by firearm

It shall be unlawful to use any kind of firearm to kill or injure mink or otter or to possess or sell any mink or otter, or the pelt thereof, which was killed by any kind of firearm, provided that nothing in this Code section shall prevent a person from dispatching a mink or otter found in a trap or from killing any mink or otter while it is destroying or damaging, or about to destroy or damage, the person's crops, domestic fowl, or other personal property.

Yeah, in reality I have limited time to pattern him. So I was hopefully looking for some otterly good tips to hypothetically blast him. I'm not trapping anything pissed off with teeth and claws.

I've seen them most often at daybreak. Less often in the evening. Never looked for them after dark.
