I’ve been on a popcorn kick. ( not joe Biden’s buddy, the snack)

I’ve gotten into popcorn lately, popcorn makers are too messy to clean up afterwards, I just use a pot, cheap Walmart popcorn does not pop good. Orville Redenbacher works best. I want to try some different oils, what do you use and what toppings do you like?
equal amounts of coconut oil and butter to pop. Melted butter on top and salt and/or pepper.

If you want something sweet. Leave out the salt and pepper and instead toss it in a bowl with cinnamon and sugar.

You're doing it right though. Haven't popped popcorn in a bag in close to 15 years.

Grew up with these popcorn poppers. Lots of added butter margarine and salt, dumped into paper grocery sack and thrown to the five wolves in the backseat or family room floor.

These days it is movie theater or microwave. I like butter and parmesan cheese on mine.

A company called Kernel Seasons makes a line of popcorn seasonings that are pretty good.

Coconut oil is the main ingredient in "good" popcorn sticks (used in commercial poppers).

High smoke point, imparts no flavor and is now thought to be good for your health. The cinnamon and sugar does sound good though but I'm diabetic.
Can you sub the sugar for the keto stuff - Swerve? I've used it and it's the closest to sugar I can find with no weird aftertaste.
