That sucks. I really don't care what my neighbors yard looks like as long as they are decent, hard working honest people. I will take a messy yard over an asshole for a neighbor any day.

This is so appreciated. I don’t suppose you can point out the case law in question? These ordinances have been successfully challenged. If it's in your driveway (or other appropriate parking area other than the street), and not an eyesore, the city cannot require you to tag it and keep it insured. (Tagging requires insurance).
Had a neighbor that ran afoul of our local nitwits, and I told him this, and he told them that, and they asked him to at least turn it around so that you can't see the (expired) tag from the street, which he did.
Throw a tarp over it, and tell them to come back with a search warrant if they want to see what is under the tarp.
Ask them if they have checked every boat for a current registration.
Most of the code enforcement people are pretty low grade (in employment terms) and act on a lot of bad information because 99% of the people let them get away with it.
Our local folks went on a tear about grass being too high. Me and couple of other folks challenged the ordinance. It (the ordinance, or at least the enforcement thereof)went away. Code enforcement is a profit center and the local government does not want to spend a lot of money defending any of it.
More likely to park all 9 on the gtass, six inches apert and front bumper a foot back from the gutter with a for sale sign one just one of them.just park them around back up close to the house and throw
a tarp over them till you can get around to fixing

Cobb County bases the number of operating vehicles that you can legally park on your property on the square footage of your house. We have had at least three neighbors given notices from Code Enforcement. One of the neighbors moved two of his vehicles to a storage unit and another neighbor had two of his freeloading buddies move out. If the vehicles are currently licensed and fully operational, they can be parked on the street if facing in the correct direction of traffic. They cannot be parked on the grass, but must be on an improved surface. Thanks.
