I don't give a shyte what you remember the price was....

Since I am missing the point and you thing I am part of your so called problem, let me explain this to you again. So what? I dime is not a dime if it is collectible, a Glock is not just a Glock if someone wants to pay a higher price. Get out of other people's business. It does not concern you, so why do you care? Oh, I know, you must not sold your gun for the correct price. Jealous much?
But Jerry he was a commissioned officer in the U.S.Army and a little smarter thhan you and i.

....in 1990. We aren't that different in age. I remember what the price was in 1990 too....

We've fast forwarded 30 years you momo. The dollar has been devalued by 100% since then.

I know they (insert widget here) were $50 thirty years ago. They're $100 today.

Rant over.
This means a $200 tax stamp 30 years ago is half price today. :thumb:

Yes.

And back in 1934,
The $200 NFA tax represented the full retail price of the most expensive machine gun ever marketed and sold for civilian ownership-- the 1927 Tommygun with the finned barrel, Cutts compensator, finger groove foregrip etc.

It was also the going price for a late model used car in excellent condition.
