see i understand the whole buy american thing... and I do when I can and its feasible. The thing, we are not in world war era with the buy american! help the war effort! We are living in a global economy where people and countries buy freely with one another. It is all based on value. My definition of value is getting the best quality product for the lowest price. So understanding that most items from china are cheaply made and most likely will not last long, I am willing to pay the higher bucks on something I can rely on IF it is something I need to rely on continuously.
For example, I would rather buy a 17 dollar made in china nail gun from harbor freight to build my fence than pay 300 for a high end american made model from home depot b/c I will build my fence... and most likely only use that nail gun for that project and mending in the future. If I was in construction and would need to rely on that nail gun for daily work then yeah, I would spring for a high dollar reliable model
I drive an American Jeep... but half those parts are made in china and assembled in mexico. You really cant get around it anymore. Its sucks, but thats the way the world is now.
Just looking at the items on my desk:
