For car camping I can get everything with extras for a family into a 35? Gallon tote, I've been doing it for years. I had two boys in a cub scout troop, we would show up with a t ote and cooler and be good. All the other families had equipment coming out of their ears. Some would have a loaded suburban pulling a loaded trailer for parents and one kid.
