I need a new beer, looking for recs

The real problem is, I have to buy what I plan to drink because if I buy 18 beers, I'm bout to drink 18 beers tonight. That's the extent of my alcoholism. Especially since they started coming in tall boys. Hopsecutioners (which were my favorite) are just out of the question at this point in my life. I'm getting old.

So I'm going to try and expand my palette to something lighter. I drink Coors light when I'm doing a long day of yard work or something but they're more like redneck gatorade than beer. I guess I'm asking for suggestions on a nice full flavored, hoppy, light, easy drinking beer that won't tear me out of the frame by 8pm if I start at , say 2 or 3.
Miller lite makes me gag, bud light equals instant headache, and they all taste like pisswater to me.

Plus, I went to buy my neighbor and I a couple 12 packs a while back, mine was $24 and his was $6. He drinks Busch Lite and I can stomach it in a pinch but I wouldn't pick it up for myself.

I'm off to buy a six pack in an hour or two and I intend to drink them all.
So what's tonight's new beer for me going to be?
Do they make a light IPA?

Dead serious question. If I can't find a regular beer I guess I just have to quit drinking.

@halo696 brought this question on to me when he "swung by" to drop off something from Sunday afternoon til Monday morning. It took me until this morning to get over it.

I love some Terrapin. Old high school buddy of mine, Bird****, is a bigwig executive there. I don't think he goes by Bird**** anymore though because if you ask for Bird**** on the phone they don't know who you're talking about.

So, I'm trying Fatal_Bert Fatal_Bert advice and bought some seltzers for a shindig tomorrow night. Bought a 12 pack of Budweiser ones. I looked for SweetWater but you get what you get up here and you're happy. I drank a lemon one because it probably wouldn't hurt to have 11 and to make sure that I could choke them down. Not half bad. Think I'm going to try one of the strawberry ones now. Won't hurt to just have 10....

I will give my full write up on how I feel about Fatal_Bert Fatal_Bert as a human being on Sunday, or Monday.
I almost bought the Pride pack but I decided not to, because gay. By the way, Seltzer comes in gay pride packs just FYI.

Haha! Thats awesome man. Always good to have connections high up in the beer world :peace: . Ive tried most seltzer beers and the only ones i can drink is them good ole white claws .

The sweet waters are clean,
I really like the SUP's best because they have the fewest ingredients. but they're hard to find.
Corona makes a clean one too.

Budweiser puts some weird malt rice or some unnecessary bull**** in there seltzers because they are cheap and they hate you.

For me it ain't about the flavor at all, it's about having a cold alcoholic drink that gets me buzzed with as little negative effect elsewhere as possible.
