Wow! you obviously overshot Rte.41 big time as it's just over a mile west of Chuy's. Surprised you didn't end up in Alabama. Then again, you could have gotten directions from B Bypass and maybe done a little sippin' 'n tradingYeah that's why we were SO damn lost. We got off southbound I75 on Barret Parkway to eat at this damn good Mexican place called Chuy's which is right beside Costco. I saw a sign pointing to Hwy 41 pointing towards Barret when we exited. I wanted to get to 41 and avoid the traffic jam along 75. Because the trip up took twice as long since the slow ass traffic started in Jackson which is way before it usually gets backed up.
Anyway I asked the waitress if Barrett Parkway was 41 and was told that Cobb Parkway was actually 41 and to look for some damn whole foods at the corner of Barret and Cobb. About 20 miles later we were STILL on Barret with no signs of a damn Whole Foods or 41. And these damn Google powered phone GPSs act like 41 doesn't even exist.
At one point we were in the City of South Fulton and got led through the hood and industrial area. We eventually turned on Butner or some such street which took us by a scrap metal yard. Well scrap yards almost always have train tracks very close by. And guess what ... there was a ******* train right across the road we needed to be on and it was definitely not moving. By then my head is about to explode. Somehow we wound up in Luthersville. I only know that because I saw the water tower going into town. I believe it said something like "Town of Luthersville... You either live here or you're lost."
Eventually we made it to Barnesville where 341 starts . And 341 runs through Roberta (Methville) and then Ft Valley and eventually Perry. I stopped at the Barnesville Ingles got some Rolaids and Modelo and handed the keys to the wife. We SHOULD have been back in Perry around 4:00 PM but instead we got home at almost 9:00.![]()
. On the other hand it's not a good idea to get lost when you have a belly full of Tex Mex food, if you know what I mean. Cut the attached out or print it in case you get the urge to visit Chuy's again.Great story
.
