I picked up a Ultralight. I'm gonna try this. Looks hella fun.

Y'all should try an ultra light fly rod when the wind is down! I have a 3wt Sage 5'6" rod made in the early 90's with a little "jewelry box" sized reel for trout that is dynamite for panfish in a cove! The odd 1 1/2 lb Bass is a real challenge to boat and the fight from a nice Bream is great fun.

I also carry my 6' trout rod with a Diawa Silver Series reel (had since the early 80's in Highschool) and run 4 lb. mono with minny spoons and spinners with good results.

Richard Gene the Fishing Machine. Love his videos! He’s got a bunch going back several years. He fishes Guntersville a lot and has plenty of panfish videos. Posts them pretty regular as well. You could pick up some good tips and maybe recognize the parts of the lake he’s fishing. Good luck sir!

Lots of nice ul stuff on here. Ive been using a 12-14' tenkara rod. Use 2#tippet in case a big fish does bite. Limited on distance but bream beds are the bomb. Little bass at Indian Springs and the wife at Tussahaw with a bream. Both folded the long light rods over.
