When I joined the Marines I figured my life expectancy was 20 if I was lucky.
Now I'm a whole lot older and I can't imagine hiding from anybody.
Truth is they're cowards and will be looking for easy targets.
I don't think I've ever been an easy target.
Not taking any pictures in uniform off FB.
They were requested by family and there they'll stay.
I'd rather die standing then live on my knees.

I do not think it is ISIS they are worried about, especially when fed-gov created and armed them in the first place. In the not to distant future, we will be under martial law due to monetary/societal collapse and they do not really want anyone to know who are military and their families.
The media and government are the ones telling the military to go hide? Bwahhahahah! 
Out of 535 politicians I think may be 100 have served in the military. In the media it is probably close to less than 5. They are the ones telling us to go hide!
I'm guessing ISIS is more interested in softer targets like the ones on the hill than us Veterans who will shoot back and kill them.

Im not ex military, so take this for whats its worth, but ISIS is just like any other thug, asshole, or terrorist that we deal with on a constant basis.
IF I was exmilitary, I wouldnt change a ****ING THING> **** them, If we change our behavior, we have already lost.
The odds are very, very long against ISIS coming to your house and ****ing with you.
And if they do it on US soil, they will get taken down like the Boston bombers.
