Bought my first AR-15 and was a little leery about what the wife would say. Walked in the door with the rifle case where I met the wife. "What you got there" was her first thing she said. I said, "Oh, just a hunting rifle" was my reply. Let me see it.
I quickly opened the case to which her reply was "Oh wow, that is so cool. Do you have enough ammo for it"? "Can never have enough hunting rifles". I really love this woman, been married since 1977 - 38 years so far.

Congratulations. Give her a big hug and kiss and tell her "That's for you just being you"

I know what you're saying. And by the way, me and my bride got married in 1977 too.. July 1st 1977. 'Twas a Friday and pouring down rain but that was a perfect day.

Ahhhh....sounds like a great team......and know what you're saying, great story.

When my wife and I moved to Cherokee County 4 years ago, for Valentines Day we went and applied for our Cherokee Co. carry permits together,
then I gave her the only S&W J Frame Snubbie I have ever bought NIB along with a set of Pink Shooter ear protectors for the range.
Whoever said Romance was dead.......don't believe them, just keep couple shootin.
