I actually saw a Modern Marvels episode today that dealt with the space program and the different approaches Russia and the US took. This meme sums it up perfectly. The Russians took the easiest and simplest approach and if it worked never changed it. The US tries to high science every aspect and finds its never satisfied so continuously tries to make things better. Who says Russia is all bad, eh comrades....
