I also have dealt with noobs and like everyone says, you can quickly tell if they are on the up and up. Sadly, I think we still have some members that have been here a while that act like noobs.

Me too. I did a deal with a new member this week. Went very well. And got a lead on his auto repair business for Honda and Toyota which is what the wife and I are driving these days. Good deal all around.
I recently have been running into newbies who stop responding... maybe it's just me but if I'm not interested etc after I message someone atleast give the common courtesy of thanks but I'll have to pass or somethng... been looking for a 19x for a while and an ar10 in 308...

I've devised an effective plan how weed new guys.
They pay more.
Worked well so far. Two new guys bought guns at higher price than to my fellow odt members. This ensured they really wanted it and follow through.

What gets me with new members is the lowball offers. This isn’t Craigslist. I’ve even explained that most of the members here are selling to purchase another and are not desperate to sell, and if the are they usually put it in the ad.
