I want to hear from the M1A guys, I have a few questions

i have the scout because of length. to me 22" is a bit too cumbersome and difficult to manipulate and socom 16 just not my taste. my scout is the only weapon that i bought and never had any buyers remorse.

I love my scout. The irons work great on it. I put an eotech on it just for fun and it shot that great as well but now I'm moving the Eotech to my AR and looking to get a low power scope for the scout

I decided on the M1A standard, and put 50% down on it today. Hopefully I'll pick it up next week!

I've had the standard rifle, the Scout, and the Socom. I have no interest in ever owning another Socom. The rifle's a fine choice, but the Scout is the way to go for me.

I love the M1A, and if it weren't for the thing being so difficult to load for, I'd likely have a house full of them. I think they're great rifles, either will be a great shooter. I just can't love the Socom.

I messed around with the socom a bit and just couldn't get a good feel on it. I did like the scout, but I think the standard will better suit my need(which is purely a historical, enjoyable rifle)
