Laetiporus sulphureus. I think cincinnatus tastes better but still damn good. I cut em into chicken wing sized pieces, roll em in buffalo sauce and air fry em. Pretty common at the base of dead oak trees but the occasional ones at the bottom of evergreens and locusts shouldn’t be eaten.
 
Google lens search is awesome, I use it for tons of plants and flowers for identification purposes

I tried telling someone a few months ago about this mushroom. I had only recently heard about it and didn't even know what it looked like.

They clearly didn't believe me. And according to this thread, they were right. Apparently it's "Chicken of the Woods", and NOT "Chicken of the Sea" like I tried telling them :embarassed:
