Cheap bastards don't include
Inlet supply braided 3/8 hose
Elbow to connect dishwasher to the 3/8 inlet hose
If your old dishwasher is hardwired like mine using Romex then they expect you to buy a wiring kit for another $20.

I cut the plug off and wire nutted the Romex to the wires just like the old dishwasher, **** them.

Thousand dollar dishwasher and they don't include everything you need. Like I said "cheap bastards"

Plumbing connections and supplies are the responsibility of the Plumber. No way the manufacture knows the conditions for which the installation will take place, Don't sweat the small stuff....you just paid 1K for the dishwasher. I will say that my last dishwasher lasted 23 years and it was a Bosh with NO issues. Enjoy your new appliance with all the Obama energy saving crap that will cause you to run the dishwasher through at least 2 complete cycles to get your dishes clean.

Yep
My wife wanted the “super quiet” Bosch dishwasher.
I love my wife.
I bought her one……

And then I had to go buy all the “hidden cost” parts to install it.

You live. You learn.

P.S. I love my wife. But there are times when I wish my wife would be as quiet as that damn dishwasher.

It’s how they are programmed with circuit boards as far as I can tell. It’s not like a shower head where you can remove a restrictor. Pretty much have to rinse and scrub the dishes before you put them in the machine. AND wait until you need a new washing machine….the new ones don’t have agitators and use .9 gallons of water. You’ll be running that twice too

The dishwasher I replaced is a GE profile that lasted 10yrs. In that 10yrs I've made 3 repairs and it's leaked on me twice causing hundreds of dollars in water damage to the wood (MDF) counter bases and counter wood. This time lt had a slow leak that gradually became larger over a few months. Then water finally poured out where we could see it. I had to kill and get rid of mold. Waterproof everything and then rebuild 6 feet of MDF bases and two supports under the granite top without breaking the top. Lots of fun.

I thought about doing what my father did when I was a kid and he got tired of replacing dishwashers. Yank it out and build more storage space. Wash them by hand. But happy wife happy life.

We love our Bosch. You can't hardly tell it's running. Can't tell you how many times I've opened it mid cycle. Now I look for that red light on the floor.

I've learned the sooner you let go of the small stuff life is a lot more fun.

Enjoy the new machine - you got a good un!
