If you buy a $1000 Bosch Series 500 dishwasher they do not include everything you need to install it

I have that same dishwasher. I have installed probably a thousand in my 39 years of plumbing, and everyone that I asked always praised their Bosch! last week, my PC boards fried, luckily I bought the 5 year extended warrant through best buy, their tech came out, diagnosed it, ordered the parts and replaced both boards. Happy wife again !

Had a Bosch, it only lasted 10yrs with a twice replace control board under warranty. The original Kenmore lasted @ 23 and was still running when the Wife wanted to replace it...... :doh:She did the same thing with the cloths washer........ The new cloths washer lasted lasted @23yrs. We unplugged it at the old house. Moved it to the new one and plugged it in, no more. Couldn't get parts anymore either. We then bought a Maytag, we'll see

It’s how they are programmed with circuit boards as far as I can tell. It’s not like a shower head where you can remove a restrictor. Pretty much have to rinse and scrub the dishes before you put them in the machine. AND wait until you need a new washing machine….the new ones don’t have agitators and use .9 gallons of water. You’ll be running that twice too
Speed Queen top loader is the answer, buy one cry once , best washer I ever had

My first Bosch lasted 23 worry free years. I too am a plumber (retired) and have always recommended Bosch, Top of the line appliances typically have far less issues and costumer support when needed is much better.
I also like, Kitchen Aid, GE Monogram, Millie Paying more dollars does get you better equipment! Just don't get your head wrapped around that Whirlpool is made by Kitchen Aid. Or any other manufacture that makes multi branded equipment. They are not the same!

Spending more on a new ref/freezer now than I did on all the appliances for a new house back in 2014.

Different house now, and time to replace...

Stupid built in units are an arm an a leg.... don't get me started on the additional costs to install.....
