I was woking one time in an office building equipment room that housed a large step-down transformer.
It was buzzing loudly when I walked in, but I only had a couple of phone cross-connects to do, so figured "no biggy".
Well, that mf'er blew, room went completely dark, that burning insulation smoke and smell choking me, on top of almost crapping myself when it exploded.. Stupid me didn't have a flashlight (last time I was ever without one). Room was small enough that I found the door and was able to get out pretty quickly.
Then the building maintenance guy tried to blame me for the outage. Figure he was trying to cover for a mistake he'd made. A-hole.

Pretty close to me and I hadn’t heard about this. Really sad, and it happens more often than we realize. It’s a good reminder to always be present for your kids: talk to them, stay interested in their friends, and pay attention to what they do and don’t like. And whenever they come to you with a question, answer it, ask more, and act on any changes in behavior ASAP.

How’s your daughter holding up?

Pretty close to me and I hadn’t heard about this. Really sad, and it happens more often than we realize. It’s a good reminder to always be present for your kids: talk to them, stay interested in their friends, and pay attention to what they do and don’t like. And whenever they come to you with a question, answer it, ask more, and act on any changes in behavior ASAP.

Thanks for asking, she went to her friend's funeral. Got somewhat of closure (I'd say) she's doing well & back to normal. She's changed for the good id say as well. She's realized how short life can be and the things you do and say will always effect someone if it's good or bad.. I really appreciate you asking and thank you for the advice to the parents out here that do not pay enough attention to what and who their kids talk to or hang with and to always be honest and kind to them. Never know when the good Lord will pull that ticket. What makes it worse is she lost her grandfather on thursday(my father) so she's upset about that loss but she knows he lived a long long life and a hard one. She knows he loved her oh so much.

My condolences. That's too much loss in a short time. Better pay close attention to her for a while. Y'all should do some fun family activities with her. Anything to keep her in good spirits
