Torn between the Dillon 550B and the XL650. Either would be used for 9mm, .40sw and .223. I have a Forster Co-ax for precision rifle work. Can't make up my mind over the whole manual indexing or auto indexing. Also the only case feeder for the 550 is pistol only. Anyone with experience with either, both? I might burn 500 .223 a month, maybe 300 9 and .40 a month. Arghhhhhh!!!!!

I like my 550B for 9mm,38/357,.40, .44mag,.45acp,223/556,30-30,30-06,.308,.30 carbine.it can load some nice looking rds.and I use the lee loader for the .50bmg.I have broke things on the dillon by dumb thumbing and they have a no bs warrenty.they sent the replacement parts free,I bought extra stuff from them because I felt guilty taking something from them that I know was my fault and broke the part. just my 02 cents.I have die plates for all of them and the settings never change,I just recheck the first few rds from the caliber change then I check a few from the middle of the batch and the last 2or 3 from the end.seems to work for me.

I have been using a Dillon 450 and 550 since the early 90's and love them. I have my 450 setup for 223, one 550 for small primers, and one 550 for large primers. I use a Lyman Spartan (C press) and a RCBS Rockchucker for my other rifle rounds.

I take my time and still load around 300 per hour.
