I'm really missing it!

I hear ya, it’s a lot of time, space and money but once it’s in your blood it never really ever goes away. I’d like to build one more SBC.
Absolutely. I really want to do an LS swap into an older car or into a late '80s model Trans Am GTA. With a little suspension work and much better rear differential. I'm kind of the all-in situation if I do the engine I have to do the whole car as well. Change the old Trans Am GTA into a 6-speed with a 600 horsepower LS engine would be really fun to do. Maybe put a supercharger on it as well and really make some power.

One time I saw an article in a magazine where a guy did that to a late 80's model formula. He put a supercharged LS engine with a clear hood scoop on the hood so you can see the supercharger. It was an amazing build and I still have visions of that car in my sleep.

This is like kind of what I'm talking about actually it's the exact car. It's a 1991 formula with a 427 LS7 supercharged power plant.

I have owned 3 of the Late 80's Trans AM GTA's and two of the 99-2002 models. The LS1 with a 6 speed and 3.42 gears is a torque monster. I had a 02 Ram Air in Sunset Orange Metallic with beige leather interior. Man I loved that car. Wish I never sold it. I replaced everything on that car from the head engine to the rear end. Complete suspension upgrade, brakes, Bilstein's, BMR suspension parts, SLP sub frame connectors and the whole shabang. Don't get me started on the engine. I had an easy 15,000 grand in engine and exhaust components plus a 150 shot of nitrous. Over 450 rear wheel HP without the Nitrous and when I hit the button that car would put your lips in the back seat. LOL
Ladies and gentlemen I present the Beast!

Between the wife and I we've owned about a dozen first and second gen F-bodies but never any newer ones.

A third gen with an LS, 6 speed, big brakes, and suspension mods gets my old heart racing just thinking about it.
WildBillHimself WildBillHimself you need to check this guy out. He is local to us and he is the one that I do the rear ends for and some fabrication for. He is in Sugar Hill just down the street from WJ’s shop.Check out the photos on the website under gallery.
