Made all 3 of my daughters learn to drive using my F250, which has a manual transmission.......
They need to know some things even if they don't use the skill daily.
I took my truck in for a front end alignment couple months back...... and the young guy had to ask the shop mgr to pull it on the rack for him, because he couldn't drive a stick.
Pitiful.

My daughter, 16 y/o, just bought a Jeep Wrangler. It's a 6 speed manual. I learned on a clutch but haven't had a manual in years. Took her to a school parking lot (after hours of course lol) and she started learning. Fast forward 2 months and that girl ROCKS!!! However, I don't think any of her friends can drive it though.
