Had a boss once who told me to clean up an area just like that. I told him I didn't smoke but would be glad to pass on his request to those in the office who did.

Hell yeah! That's the way I see it too. My job description is literally cleaning up after people. But I refuse to clean up after inconsiderate pieces of **** that are so self involved they don't care where they throw a cigarette butt. And again I should mention this smoking section is right in front of the propane tank exchange cabinet.
Don't get me wound up about douche bags that can't be bothered to use a butt can or trash can.
Ugh. I have no idea where smokers got the notion that throwing used cigs on the ground wasn't littering! 'Oh, it's biodegradable, it'll disappear!' Listen you damn low life scum, you're biodegradable and I'll make you disappear! Now, pick up your damned trash!

It's the same thing in any curb at any intersection in the metro area.
I would say I'd like to know what goes through their minds the second they throw their trash out the window but obviously the answer is nothing.
