Inertia bullet puller improvement

Howdy. I just made a discovery i needed to share. If you already know this then feel free to tell how awesome you are.
So if you have experience with one of the hammer like inertia pullers you know how crappy the pot metal collets are. With that being said, do not use them. Instead, use a normal shell holder. Works fantastic. Fits like it was made for it (See pic). I had to tell someone

How about that. Never thought about it. Never had a problem with original design. But yea, it does seem flimsy

I have an RCBS puller that’s 35+ years old and hundreds of whacks on concrete floor and still kicking. They just don’t make a damn thing like they used to.

Yeah mine has those three little places held with the rubber o-ring. A real piece of crap and a pain in the rear end of use. I don't use it much but now that I have seen your little trick I know what to do the next time. Brilliant!

Yep, pain in the ass. This shell holder idea looks much easier. I will have to try it.

Yep…I thought it was universally known….kind of.
My dad showed me that years ago. I would have posted it if I thought about it but I thought most folks knew.
