picked up a used Smith and Wesson M&P15-22. Has the rail and threaded barrel, Magpul flip up sights, CRT stock and AFG in FDE. I took off the MOE grip and put on an ERGO FDE grip I had laying around. Really like the feel of it and looking forward to taking it to the range next week..
My "normal" AR has a 512 Eotech on it. I"d like to get some sort of similar red dot sight, but want to keep the price under $100. I've seen some of the airsoft clones but i'd prefer something that's not a "rip off". similar is fine, but i don't want to give someone money for making a cheap "knockoff" with an Eotech label on it. My 512 is on a larue QR mount so if the point of impact is similar between the two I'll just use that, but if it's off, or if I can find a deal on an optic, I'd like to have something separate for the S&W.
I've read some about Primary Arms, and I've seen the NCStar stuff at shows. Any specific recommendations? don't want any magnification, just a good red dot thats' similar to my Eotech... or maybe an AimPoint? I have seen some setups that I like from them as well..
Any other thoughts on the 15-22? specific ammo they like or don't like? quick loaders?
also where's a good place to purchase magazines? any other brands work on the S&W (black dog it seems don't work)? Any other accessories I should look into?
