information about frog lube

I use on my wheels guns, no worries on actions in cold weather. Cleans up fine, use the toaster oven to heat it up after applied and all the crap wipes right off.

Yeah, as other have said, it's a love or hate thing. I personally don't care for the smell and Vaseline type residue. My rifles have run fine on Traditional lube and will continue that way. Just preference unless you have issues with it.

Clean weapon with hoppes ...... Lube weapon with remoil ....... Wipe down exterior ....done :)

We don't need no stinking reptilian lubricants that look like pistachio pudding ..lol

i use it because hoppes9 gave me such bad headaches. then i would forget to wash my hands sometimes and then go do other things. i switched over when my wife was pregnant so i didnt transfer any unnecessary petrol to her.

the reason i believe that people have gumming issues is that the previous lube was still there and the FL is forcing out the other stuff. i noticed it on one of my pistols i didnt strip of previous solvents. so before i treat any of my stuff.. it goes into a degreaser before getting FL applied. worked very well for my last two bcgs. no residue, and nice slick coating.

one warning i received from a gun smith, if you are planning on using this stuff and then going for a coating of some kind, the FL wont come completely out of the metal without some form of industrial strength degreaser. (name escapes me)

Ballistol. Just made the switch and it seems to clean better and lubricate better than anything else I've used in the past. It works on just about everything too.
