I know most of you guys are in the south, so I'll preface this by saying HERE IN COLORADO, Froglube is a big disappointment. Gummy in the cold - I mean real cold - not that ooohhh it's 45* cold Georgia winter cold y'all whine about, and runny in the heat - and I mean real heat, not that aaahhhggg it's 90* hot Georgia hot y'all whine about! Lived in GA twice (Ft Gordon), once for 11 months, once for 6 months, so I know it's hot and humid as hell there, but it's not 110* hot fellers.
No more Frog Lube here. Can't justify using anything that's not temp stable.

Not to mention its a royal pain in the ass to get out once it turns to gum, especially on and in rifle and shotgun bolts.
PERSONALLY - Hv tried it... NOT 4 ME!! Like the comment above - when cold, tends to "gum" a bit (??)... MUCH BETTER OUT THERE!!

All I use is straight Mobil 1 synthetic auto grease or an oil I mix that is a combo of Mobil 1 synthetic oil/ATF/STP/Hoppe's #9.

Used it on everything from revolvers and bolt actions, to SMG's and full-auto carbines and rifles, to belt fed machine guns in 5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm, 7.62x51mm, 7.62x54Rmm and .50BMG. Never an issue, cleans up easy and is WAAAAY cheaper than anything you can buy with "firearms" on the label.

Sounds like people with problems are just using too much, which is always the case. People just love to hate it because they don't understand it. Stuff works great in all temperatures just don't slather it on since that is not how it is meant to be applied. Not all lubes were created equally and frog lube is a step above the rest for me hands down.
i just can't see spending that much more for something eveything else does just fine. to me fl seems like its for lazy folks that don't like to clean their guns. but its your money. if you like it, by all means.
