I have had several people ask if I could add removable chokes to a shotgun with fixed chokes. Due to the cost of tooling, I had put this idea off. I have been thinking about this for about two years and since about 80% of our shooting is clay shooting, I have decided to try it. I went ahead and ordered my first reamer and tap to do 12-gauge Rem chokes and started with an old Remington 1100 cut off barrel that I had left over from another project. I went to gun club and put 5 rounds through it this morning with no issues. I have added some pictures below. I am planning on purchasing more tooling for other gauges and choke types as needed.
