Well, it's insurance time again this year. Our insurance has been creeping up and up over the last several years, and it's finally hit my WTF-threshold. Both my wife and I are safe drivers, over 35, no accidents, etc. I'm now getting hit with $460 for six months on an '09 nissan versa.

Looking for an agent that can do a one-stop-shop, auto, home, umbrella, and collector auto.

Any suggestions?

check out Liberty Mutual Insurance I insure all 3 of my vehicles with them and its under $80 a month for all three that's liability only but I will say that my driving record is perfect no accidents or tickets you can also add roadside assistance for $4 a vehicle per year it's comparable to AAA

I use State Farm. They are ridiculously expensive but never had a complaint on service or them even batting an eye at any claims over the years. I am shopping for alternative insurance at the moment though.

If you are ex military, go with USAA. They blew everyone out of the water. Great company and I could not be happier. I was with State Farm for 35 years and USAA cut my premium in half....with the same coverage.

i was going to go with USAA but Geico offered me a better rate because i was a service member (geico apparently use to exclusively insure government employees from what i understand)

i got my insurance at age 22 or 23 and only pay 212 bucks ever 6 months. never had an accident so i cant tell you about their accident service

im happy with them

We have Statefarm, both of us over 35 plus my 20yr old son. I pay $168 a month on 3 vehicles (1- full coverage, 2- liability and comp.), and not the minimal liability coverage either. They were the cheapest when I put my son on the policy. My wife worked in the Insurance Industry for about 15yrs, and Statefarm is the best, other than USAA, but they can be strict about certain things.

Unfortunately USAA isn't an option for us, I'll take a look at some of the others. Anybody have any decent independent agents they would recommend or anybody with Auto-Owners insurance (Clark Howard seems to like them well enough)....

Call David at the Markey Insurance Agency. You can google their number. They handle everything and kick butt.
