I've never shot a factory comp, but the blast isn't noticeable on the PMM from retention or otherwise, and the recoil is basically non existent even with +P. Or maybe I'm full of **** and just trendy.

Looking at it, I'm going with trendy.
But then again, some call me a fudd, so there's that.

Eh, I tried all the things and it's what works best for me, and it's not like I'm carrying it daily. I still think front sight block quad rail ARs are the pinnacle so maybe only pistol trendy. Half the people here are 1911 purists so I know they aren't calling you a fudd.
