Interested in Beretta Tomcat - reading about frame crack issue

Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna had the 3032 Tomcat last time I visited there.

I had one years ago (over 20) and I never had an issue with it. It is a BIG gun for the round. My buddy had a KelTec P32 at the time and the size difference of the 2 was immense. The Beretta being the better gun of the two however.

I have a 32 Tomcat as well as the 22 version. never had any trouble with either one. I talked with Beretta about the problem with the cracked frame and they said as long as you fired standard factory loads you would never have any problems. They advised that the problem comes in when you start using the super hot defensive rounds you might encounter a problem with the frame. He stated they are not designed to fire these super hot loads. I like my Tomcat(s) and plan on keeping them.
